Hacked Paris Hilton’s friends won't give new phone numbers?
Lets bet: will Paris Hiltons friends share their new phone numbers?
After camera-phone pics and address book of Paris Hilton, the heiress of Hilton hotel, have been hacked by computer plotters and posted on the Internet, the hacked heiress and actress says sorry to famous friends via US Weekly.
A man, 22, pleaded guilty to hacking into T-Mobile's protected database. Detectives are not yet sure whether the information was obtained via Hilton's Sidekick II phone, or through one of the company's stores. "This includes the possibility that someone had access to one of Ms. Hilton's devices and/or knew her account password," the company said in a statement.
Images of the hotel heiress engaged in a lesbian make-out session, her topless self-portraits, accompanied by personal notes and celebrity contact information have been spread all over the Web. Many stars of show business and sports including Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan, Eminem, Ashlee Simpson, Ashley Olsen, Andy Roddick, were revealed as they were in Pariss phone book. Most of those exposed on the Internet have already changed their numbers.
"Paris feels badly that this happened and she feels badly that other people have been inconvenienced," Gina Hoffman, Hilton's publicist, told Reuters.
The first sites to post the information copied from the hacked pages were forced to remove it after being contacted by the Secret Service agent in charge of the T-Mobile hack/identity theft case.
"Pretty soon you get somebody who decides, 'I'm going to put this out on the Internet,'" said Richard Bejtlich, author of The Tao of Network Security Monitoring. "They might be five or six people down the food chain."
Hacking Paris Hiltons mobile is becoming "quite a nightmare" for her famous friends (as Fergie from Black Eyed Peas said).
Therefore Paris Hilton issued an apology to her famous friends in US Weekly: "I want to apologize to all my friends and family," Hilton told the magazine. "I don't know why this stuff always happens to me, but I wish it wouldn't anymore. It's too upsetting for me I can't believe it. I feel horrible that, once again, someone has invaded my privacy."
Hilton's friends have since received a massive amount of crank calls from their fans and non-fans. For instance, Black Eyed Peas Fergie started getting crank calls at 6:30 a.m. "I don't get calls at that time, unless it is one of my friends who has had an all-night bender," Fergie explained. "So I answer the phone, 'Oh, I'm going to be there, I'm going to be there.' And it's these people calling, and I'm going, 'Wrong number, wrong number.' Finally, someone tells me, 'I think your phone number is on the Internet.' "
"I'm getting all these perverted phone messages, thank you very much," Fergie said later. "I'm getting all these types of e-mails, positive and negative. Those who don't like me, thank you very much as well."
As a result, Fergie is planning changing all of her phone numbers and is "going to kill Paris Hilton."
Paris Hiltons personal communications are likely to become a difficult.
