Virgin Games invests heavily in its online gaming promotion
The online gambling portal Virgin Games has vested governing its advertising activity in Rainey Kelly. The company has briefed Rainey Kelly to develop outdoor and press work that will appear later this year. The appointment is a part of a new marketing strategy, which includes a £10m brand awareness push.
Since its establishment the last year, the online gaming operator, owned by the UK-based powerful company Virgin Group, hasn't contributed much to its advertising. The Virgin Games name has been just promoted with a poster campaign in London backing its poker offering. This time the company is going to pay maximum attention to poker as well, since the game has gained wide popularity in the UK. However, other gaming activities either casino or skill-based games will also be covered by this promotion.
"The market is very competitive, so we plan to increase our spend and our profile significantly from July," said Oscar Nieboer, managing director of Virgin Games. "A lot of people in the market are buying up the media well in advance and availability is limited, so we want to get in there early."
The new advertising campaign will coincide with a relaunch of the Virgin Games website and the introduction of new products.
