Betting site Sports911.com taps into poker and Euro Sports coverage
Sports911.com, having made its name as betting operator, announced expansion of its business by jumping into Internet poker business and covering European sports betting. The company is going to embark on the project during this quarter presenting extensive profiling of the leading companies in both spheres.
"These are market segments that since our start in September 2000 have been widely ignored by us. Now that we have built a solid niche within this respective community, Sports911.com must position itself to encompass a much broader scope," commented Christopher Costigan, founder and President of Sports911.com. "On average we anticipate devoting at least 25% of our daily news coverage to internet poker and European gaming whereas Sports911 in the past focused almost entirely on the North American sports betting arena."
Initially focused on the United States and Canada, the Sports911.com audience has increased with penetrating European market. The two major consumers are currently followed by the Netherlands. However, the company is also looking for capturing readers in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark and Sweden.
"We've already addressed the European market and the rest of the world for that matter by providing regional sports and gaming news that interests them since the start of the year. Before, we didn't have the resources to cover either the European sports gaming market or online poker," said Costigan.
Sports911.com, established in 2000, is closely associated with Bluff Magazine publisher, Eric Morris that provides poker articles in exchange for the magazine's promotion at Sports911.com website. The company devotes its news to both betting itself and scandalous, shocking events.
