Bookmaker Paddy Power launches online poker with Tribeca software

Paddy Power, Ireland’s largest bookmaker, is to further extend its online gambling business and launch a new online poker project.

Staying alert to market opportunities and taking into account the tremendous potential of the online poker segment in the online gambling market, Paddy Power, has signed an online poker deal with Tribeca Tables Europe.

Paddy Power representative said: “Online poker has been a key requirement for growing Paddy Power’s portfolio of online gaming products and after a detailed study of what product is best suited to Paddy Power and our customers, we decided to launch with Tribeca’s poker software.”

By launching the online poker business, Paddy Power is joining Victor Chandler (see picture) and other customers of Tribeca.

Paddy Power is listed on the ISEQ. The news of Paddy’s online poker initiative appears to be welcome on the stock exchange. Company’s shares were trading at EUR12.80 today, 0.55 (4.9%) up on their starting price.
