
ESPN anounces schedule for World Series of Poker broadcast

The poker fans now can have a sigh of relief ESPN, a popular entertainment TV channel, has finally announced its schedule for broadcasting the World Series of Poker 2005. ESPN, that was granted an exclusive right to cover the top-rated poker event, will start showing so-called World Series of Poker Circuit from July, 19 nationalwide.
The World Series of Poker Circuit includes five televised tournaments at Harrah's casino in Las Vegas finishing with the Tourtnament of Champions in Las Vegas. The time settled for airing the TV show will be ranging from 8 PM to 10PM.
The coverage list of different poker types is basically focused on No-Limit and Pot Limit tournaments for both Texas Hold'em and Omaha games. There are only one Seven Card competition set to be covered on September, 20, and one Limit event scheduled for October, 4. This year tournaments will include a point system allowing the top 100 point holders to compete in a $2 Million freeroll.
However, the entertainment network will dedicate the basic broadcasting time for covering the Main Event starting on October, 11. The Final Table and crowning of the World Champion will culminate the first year of the Circuit on November, 15. ESPN has not revealed the schedule for broadcasting the Tournament of Champions, that is to set after the conclusion of the Main Event.
