The Palm Beach Town Council rejected Donald Trump’s request for fireworks display at Saturday wedding

Fairy-like wedding with no fireworks for Trump?

Donald Trump’s Saturday wedding with Slovenian beauty Melania Knauss has made the headlines during the recent weeks and has turned Palm Beach Town into the most popular place in the US at the moment. The real estate mogul and casino businessman Donald Trump, 58, seemed to be completely engrossed in the latest preparations and now he is likely to perform more absorbing event than The Apprentice reality television show.

Breaking old traditions, supermodel Melania Knauss, 34, has recently unveiled her outfit for wedding with Trump on the Vogue's cover page before the nuptials. $200,000 dress with more than 1,500 crystal rhinestones and pearls in a swirl pattern made by Christian Dior couture atelier has enchanted all young ladies who dream about marriage. Another royal thing Trump bought for her bride-to-be was the $1.5 million ring featuring 13-carat diamond. The main cake for the Trump-Knaus wedding ceremony is to be the orange Grand Marnier chiffon. It will be covered with about 3,000 preformed white roses made of icing and will have seven tiers. Its measurements are 32 inches in diameter and more than 200 pounds.

The Trump wedding ceremony will saw about 350 guests including Clint Eastwood, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Muhammad Ali, Elton John, Prince Albert of Monaco and many other celebrity invitees. Inside the ornate, recently restored ballroom at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club, guests will feast on a four-star meal of roasted tenderloin of beef in green peppercorn sauce prepared by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

The Palm Beach police have already made the necessary preparations for the million-dollar event. "This is the largest event of public interest in Palm Beach in 20 or 30 years," said to New York Daily News Janet Kinsella, a spokeswoman for the Palm Beach Police Department. "We have to anticipate there will be a lot of people who will want to be a part of it."

The only one thing kept away from the nuptials is fireworks prohibited by local authorities. According to The Ledger, The Palm Beach Town Council unanimously rejected the couple's last-minute request for a fireworks display at Trump’s wedding.

"We have not approved any fireworks on land in at least 20 years. It's always been on barges or from the ocean," Councilman Norman Goldblum said. “If this were John Smith or Mary Jones, I don't believe this council would be called into session with barely 24 hours notice," Councilman Bill Brooks said.

Trump’s people were reported to contact Grucci Fireworks, the company behind Trump’s fireworks show apply, just four days before the scheduled nuptials. The permit application didn't reach the council until Wednesday and members convened Thursday afternoon.
