GSN announces the opening night for its second season of World Series of Blackjack

World Series of Blackjacks is back Jan. 21

GSN, the only U.S. television network dedicated to game-related programming and interactive game playing, announces that the second season of World Series of Blackjack is scheduled to be shown January 21. The event shot at the legendary Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Las Vegas features 40 of the most successful blackjack players.

In the high pressure series of seven tournament shows, the contenders compete against each other and the house for over $500,000 in cash prizes and the title of the world's top blackjack player. The series were hosted by Matt Vasgersian.

The players are top blackjack gamblers who approved their star status with their experience and publishing their own books regarding blackjack. Among the participants is the Godfather of Blackjack, a professional gambler for over 40 years - Stanford Wong. Blackjack aficionados should know his books such as "Basic Blackjack" and "Casino Tournament Strategy."

The other contenders - Micky Rosa and last year's champion M.I.T. Mike - are featured in the New York Times best-selling book, "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas For Millions." The viewers will also see famous blackjack players like Anthony Curtis, Regina Guzior, Michael Konik, Ken Einiger, Dave Stann, Jimmy Pine.
