Scientific Games extends $10 mln online lottery contract

Scientific Games Corporation, a U.S. supplier of instant tickets and wagering systems to pari-mutuel operators, has extended its online lottery contract with the West Virginia for two more years. According to Onlinecasinonews.com, the agreement is to begin on July 1, 2005.

The West Virginia Lottery currently sells approximately $200 million worth of instant and online tickets a year. “We look forward to working closely with the West Virginia Lottery over the next three years to maximize contributions to its beneficiaries,” commented Scientific Games Chairman and CEO Lorne Weil.

Scientific Games Corporation, which is also a licensed pari-mutuel gaming operator in Connecticut and the Netherlands, said the contract extension is valued at approximately $10 million.
