Rock Star Poker Tournament to take place in Vegas

The first Rock Star Poker Tournament is reported to take place next month at the Palms Casino Resort. Communications company Clear Channel, which organizes the event, invites celebrities Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Dave Navarro (Jane"s Addiction/Red Hot Chilli Peppers), and John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls). The company is arranging radio and internet competitions for fans, who can win a prize allowing them to enter the tournament.

According to Onlinecasinonews.com, the contests for the entry are taking place in New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The actual tournament will be held on 26-28 August. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority also joined Clear Channel and the Palms Casino to arrange the event.

The winners of the contests will get different services regarding the tournament and also will receive a poker tutorial and dinner with Navarro, Lee and Rzeznik. The final poker winner will take home money prize of US$10,000. Dave Navarro, who has already taken part in the third tournament of the Celebrity Poker Challenge and won the first round, is currently deemed to win this Rock Star Poker tournament.
