Kentucky Casino Bill dead. Go gambling online?
As reported by, GamblingMagazine the bill that could have brought casinos to downtown Louisville is now dead. The bill called for nine casinos across Kentucky, with profits tied to state government and the horse racing industry. According to Larry Clark, the bill's sponsor, the measure died when race tracks would not compromise on locations of the casinos. The future of expanded gambling in Kentucky is now on hold for two years. The bill would have allowed Kentucky voters to decide the fate of casinos, and a referendum may only be on a state ballot during even voting years.
