Hollywood Poker Club sets up celebrity online tournament
Hollywood Poker Club, based on the site hollywoodpoker.com, announced the lunch of a celebrity online poker tournament. The stars will be playing poker against players registered via the website.
According to Onlinecasinonews.com, the list of invited participants includes skilful online poker players - James Woods and Vince Van Patten. The other celebrities will be disclosed lately. Any gambler is able to take part in the tournament gaining entry on the website before 15th October.
Woods commented: “It's a wonderful mix when you get celebrities interacting with their public. So I thought here's a website where I can interact with my fans and at the same time play, and hopefully beat, all my celebrity friends. For our fans it's great. How good would it be to have a tournament online, and if you win now you're playing in a tournament with celebrities and you have a chance to bust them out!”
Van Patten, a commentator for the World Poker Tour added: “Poker is taking Hollywood by storm! I've been playing the big Hollywood home games for years, and there isn't an 'A List' celebrity that I haven't taken down. Hollywood Poker Club allows us all to play online together -- whether I'm on location filming the World Poker Tour or stars are shooting movies on sets around the world.
