FOX to air live poker game
FOX Sports Net announced the new project, which was claimed to be the nation's first live telecast of a professional poker tournament. According to New York Post cited by Casinocitytimes.com, the program will air next month.
The American Poker Championship Live From the Turning Stone Resort and Casino will feature six players competing for as much as $1 million. They will be televised during the final round of a three-day no-limit hold'em tournament at the Oneida Indian Nation-owned casino in upstate Verona.
The total time of the telecast, shown on July 14, will last four hours. Fox spokesperson says, it won't be perfectly live and will air with a five-minute delay, because of concerns over cheating.
This will be the fourth poker program televised by Fox Sportsput since poker shows became popular about two years ago.
