The Toronto-based online gambling software manufacturer CryptoLogic revealed a second-quarter profit of $3.2 million, up from $2.5 million a year ago.
The company earned 23 cents per share for the period ended June 30, a 20 cents increase over the previous year, according to a report released Friday.
Revenue in 2004 jumped to $14.9 million from $10.8 million a year ago.
"It's been another blue-chip quarter for CryptoLogic, reflecting our focused strategy and the ongoing investment in our company," said company's chief executive Lewis Rose.
"We are seeing clear benefits from diversifying CryptoLogic's business in key markets and fast-growing product segments. In fact, our licensees' central poker room is now ranked among the top 5 on the Internet."
Online poker fees now account for 15 per cent of total year-to-date revenue, up from 12 per cent in the previous quarter.
