Comedian Kevin Nealon to host Poker Royale
Charismatic comedian Kevin Nealon, most recognized as the cast member in history of Saturday Night Live, the character of The Subliminal Man, Hans and Franz, now is to use his humour at poker table.
Kevin signed an agreement with US television gambling network to host new original six-episode series, Poker Royale: The WPPA Championship. He will commentate on the amateur and professional poker player's hands competing for a chance to split $10 million dollars with a GSN viewer in the $10 Million Poker Sweepstakes. According to Casinocitytimes.com, the premiering of the show that was filmed at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is due on Tuesday, December 7.
Poker Royale: The WPPA Championship will feature the action of No Limit Texas Hold'em with buy-ins and blinds (a bet put in play before any cards are dealt) designed to emphasize skill over luck. Players include Carlos Mortensen, Kathy Liebert and Paul Wolfe.
The series promise to attract lively interest to the gaming process due to Nealons comic talent polished on TV. Currently, he works as OCD Ken on Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers." His TV skills were widely disclosed in "The Larry Sanders Show," "Dharma and Greg" and "Third Rock from the Sun." Nealon has also starred in over two dozen films including "Happy Gilmore," "The Wedding Singer," "Anger Management" and "8 Crazy Nights."
GSN, the Network for Games, is the only U.S. television network dedicated to game-related programming and interactive game playing. The network is jointly owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media Corporation.
