Internet casino to give $1m for World Poker Championship
The Gaming Club online casino announced a two-year sponsorship agreement which will funnel over one million Euros for the World Poker Championship, the www.onlinecasinonews.com website reported. The deal is the biggest of its kind ever in Europe and will further help to cement the relationship between the online and offline gaming industries.
The event, scheduled to start in Dublin on June 23rd, will be publicized as "Gaming Club World Poker Championship" and will be televised by Sky Sports. It will have the biggest ever first prize in land-based Pot Limit Hold'em at 250,000.
