Probably it was you who accidentally bought a Powerball Lottery ticket that won a massive $220.3 million jackpot?
Think well as this historic winning is the 10th largest jackpot ever awarded by the Powerball Lottery, spokesperson Sue Dooley said.
The winning ticket was sold at Jacksons, a convenience store on Orchard Street, a central city neighborhood near the freeway in Boise. By the way, the same store sold an $87 million winning ticket to years ago to Pam Hiatt, a Boise resident, too! The Jacksons store will receive a $50,000 bonus, and the state of Idaho will receive a $10 million windfall. The news about an Idaho winner was announced on Sunday by Idaho Lottery official.
The lucky Powerball ticket matched 5 numbers and the Powerball to win Saturday's drawing. The numbers were as follows: 39 24 05 28 07, with Powerball 36; Power Play 04.Another 29 people matched all 5 regular Lotterys numbers, their tickets are now worth $100,000. A winner who has chosen the Power Play option and matched 5 numbers will get $400,000.
Nobody claimed the prize so far, and the Lottery office will be closed Monday because of Memorial Day holiday.
Lottery winners usually show up quickly with the winning ticket in hand, the Idaho Lottery official said. But because of the holiday, the winner could be somewhere out in the backcountry.
It is up to the winner to make a decision whether to take the prize money over 30 payments of $7.4 million a year each or accept a lump sum payment of $125.3 million, Idaho Lottery officials said in a specially prepared statement.
