Cake Poker Synchronizes Breaks

Cake Poker is one of the leading online poker rooms. Today I read a news report that stated that this online poker room has just introduced synchronized breaks for their multi table poker tournaments. Now these scheduled breaks will take place at 55 minutes past the hour every hour and will give players the opportunity to stretch their legs, grab a drink, whatever it is they need to do.

This is a great move and by doing this Cake Poker have actually joined many other leading online poker websites that also have synchronized breaks. Some of these online poker websites include Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet. In order to introduce the synchronized breaks the software that Cake Poker uses had to be upgraded but I really think that this is a very good upgrade to have.

The breaks that are being created on the Cake Poker website will be five minutes. Cake Poker is also allowing for these five minute breaks to coincide with tournaments in late registration, games with the first level and turbo events within the first two levels of play. The only exclusion for synchronised breaks will be on sit and go tournaments that have less than 30 players.

I really think that these synchronized breaks will be very popular and a huge success. I have often read about poker tournaments where the winner won after a 14 hour play off and this is a long time to sit without a break. Synchronized breaks are really needed and they allow players to get up and walk around, use the bathroom, stretch their bodies and get a breath of fresh air. Everyone knows that it is important to take a break from the computer screen and move around after every hour and these five minutes will help to keep players from getting stiff too.

What do you think of the synchronized breaks? Do you think five minutes is too long for a break in a tournament? Let us know what you think and if you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to share them.

Until next time,
