Great news for Canadians, HeadsUp Entertainment International Incorporated have announced the they are launching their very own internet television network which will be called Canadian Poker Player. This company is the also the owner and operator of the Canadian Poker Tour and the Canadian Poker Player Magazine and now they will have their own TV station too.
This company is based in Calgary and they revealed that they have just completed a series of great sponsorship deals that will allow the new Canadian Poker Player TV station premiere during the next couple of months of 2009.
This network will be covering major Canadian poker events and they also plan on including some documentary programs that will go behind the scenes of the Canadian Poker Tour. It is set to be really exciting for those who enjoy the Canadian Poker Tour and want to learn a bit more about what really goes on. It’s a bit like reality poker TV wouldn’t you say?
HeadsUP have also stated that their new television station would help to supplement the media model that they have already established in Canada which include their own magazine and Poker Tour and they want their new television programs to be the complete source of information for anyone local poker players who need it. It is hoped that the new programs will be of interest to both new and veteran poker players but until in launches later this year we really won’t know what to expect.
I will try to keep you updated on the progress of this new media event and when any more news becomes available I will post it here. Hopefully I will be able to tell you shortly exactly how you can get access to the scheduled programs and what you can expect to see.
