Donald Trump embarks on a board game
Donald Trump, the inventor of the Monopoly game, unveiled Wednesday his new pet business idea: a new board game with high stakes deal making and dollar sums in the billions, the thestar.com.my reported.
The Game, made by Parker Brothers, is played by up to four players bidding on real estate, buying big ticket items, such as islands and office buildings, and making billion-dollar business deals, just like Trump does in real life.
There is, however, no gaming equivalent of bankruptcy, which has recently been a part of the Trump experience.
On August 9, Trump Hotel and Casino Resorts announced plans to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and to form a new corporate structure where Trump surrenders much of his control.
Of course, players can terminate their opponents using the two words "You're fired'', made famous on Trump's reality TV show "The Apprentice.''
The Trump game "allows players to feel the power and make the deals,'' said Mark Blecher, senior vice president of marketing at Hasbro Games, the parent company of Parker Brothers.
