Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston remain friends after split
Hollywood star couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have announced that they have separated after seven years together. Brad Pitt, the Troy protagonist, and Jennifer Aniston, the Friends actress, revealed their split in a joint statement issued by Pitt's publicist.
The announcement followed the media speculation about their split. The actors, however, admit that they will remain friends with great love and admiration for one another.
"We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate. For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any speculation reported by the tabloid media," the couple said in a statement, reported Seattletimes.com.
Brad Pitt, 41, and Jennifer Aniston, 35, have been considered to be a very successful Hollywood couple. Both good-paid actors, who made brilliant careers, looked completely satisfied with their marriage in July 2000.
However, the media has recently reported that Jennifer was likely not to give birth to a child. According to People, Aniston has recently been photographed in public without her diamond-studded wedding ring. The rumours regarding the couples split made some betting companies open lines on their divorce in 2005. Several bookies offered even 8-1 odds on their split. However, some operators believed that the couple would stay together and listed Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston at 5/1 to become parents in 2005.
